God, that is the most awful painting. The proportions are all wrong, they couldn’t even get the grapes right. Her right arm looks like it has been glued on. And is that a hat or a bonnet?? I hope she is quickly retired.

You can always send your child to school with a bottle of water and some healthy treats for the day to discourage purchasing the unhealthy ones.

Perhaps you could even donate a bag of apples or other healthy snack to be sold by the school as part of the concessions stand. (If there’s any fruit orchards in your area, you could go on a fruit picking excursion with your kids to get the fruit, which can be lots of fun.)

You know, the parent-teacher association probably has a big influence on days like these. Get involved!
