Yeah. Can you say that? I think I should title her the “Expat Diva”.
During the Frankfurt Bookfair last month, I was informed that Edition-Skylight has chosen a selection of my work for a new upcoming book called Real Women. The model? “Germany’s Next Top Expat Model”, our very own Jen at HeisseSchiesse. What makes this all the more interesting for me to mention it?
1. Jen is a “real woman” not only in her lacking modeling experience but in size. No, she’s not a 115 lb. pole. Clothes don’t hang on her as though she were a hanger but she’s sexy and closer to what the average American woman looks like and that’s the selling point of an erotic real woman. Size has little to do with sex appeal.
2. Being I photograph erotica mainly, this photo shoot called for a little nudity. Yeah, this brave woman flung her clothing on the floor and that, my friends, is courage no matter what your body type. The photos are fantastic. We stuck within her comfort zone and she exposed a beauty I can safely say even her husband had never seen.
3. As anything can change in the publishing world, for now, I’ve landed the cover. Should this pan out (please,please,please!), our Expat Diva’s face is going to be – well, famous – in bookstores near you (or ones which carry erotica). I gather she’ll gain a bit of exposure among the expat crowd as well.
4. I got a submission call. Found the model. Took the photos. Finalized them. Sent them in and actually finished a project – within 2 weeks! What could happen if I finish all of my projects? I don’t know. I suppose I should get to work and find out.
I’ve also been informed I’m welcome to submit more work. So, I have until the end of the year at most; any full figured women in the Frankfurt area (or willing to travel to) who are interested in modeling for this book project, brave it up and contact me.
Here’s a small sneak peek of our Expat Diva. I have no idea if these photos made it into the book but we’ll find out. Real Women is due for publication May 2009.
